Client: Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd

We were the Principal Contractor for the upgrade of the existing ferry terminal to accommodate a new larger vessel. The project involved dredging, land reclamation, rock armour and reinforced concrete (RC) coastal revetment, highway works and marshalling area, complex temporary works, pier and building demolition, pier reconstruction including RC marine structures, marine piling, fendering, building foundations, removal and reinstatement of pontoons, cathodic protection and associated utilities / services (including Scottish Water Works) while maintaining a twice-daily ferry service through the heart of the work site.

The project was located in the town of Tarbert close to local residents, businesses and a school. By proper planning and co-ordination by our experienced staff we ensured minimal disruption.
