Client: The Highland Council
We were Principal Contractor on this project which was for the construction of 2km of flood defence. It involved 1.2km of earthworks embankment with rock armour protection along the shore of Loch Linnhe and rip-rap/rock armour revetment with reinforced concrete wall along 0.8km of the River Lochy. New shared use footpaths have been constructed, improving access to the Great Glen Way and the shore. Finally, a new playpark has been constructed and the site landscaped.
