Auchteraw Battery Energy Storage System

Client: Powersystems UK Ltd

The project comprised the construction of a 49.9MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) facility near Fort Augustus, including associated drainage, civil engineering and electrical works.

 

Our teams delivered the construction of the substation and associated infrastructure, together with a cable route connecting the site to the Fort Augustus Substation.

 

The works included earthworks, reinforced concrete plant foundations, cable and earth ducting, drainage, road widening, construction of a new site access bellmouth and service.
