The contract comprised the upgrading and widening of existing pedestrian pavements to Caithness stone/granite kerbs, precase concrete slabs/granite kerbs, and tarmac. Resurfacing works with porphyry and Caithness paving created two new town centre squares, pedestrian linkages were upgraded and laybys constructed in concrete block paving. Feature lighting, new street furniture and signage were installed and trees and shrubs planted. Drainage works were also carried out as part of the contract.
