The contract is situated on the south bank of the River Forth at South Queensferry. The works comprise the construction of sheet piled wall piles with interspaced box piles seaward of the existing piling, together with the installation of toe pins at the base of the box piles and tie back arrangements at the head of the piles. Concrete is to be cast between the new quay and the existing wall together with a new capping beam at the head of the piles. Voids below the existing surface will be filled and a new running surface cast. Cathodic protection will be designed and installed and the river will be dredged on the western side as part of the contract.

 

 

Principal Elements include:

Steel sheet piling 85m / Structural reinforced concrete in the tidal zone 350m3 / Dredging 8,000m3
