This 12-week JCT contract was completed in March 2006. The upgrade and expansion to this existing site was to allow increased segregation and recycling of waste. To facilitate ease of use by the public, split-level unloading areas were constructed using precast retaining wall sections and insitu concrete slabs. Improvements in lighting and the provision of CCTV and security fencing were carried out to enhance the area. A new staff facility was provided, complying with the current Building Regulations and conforming to disability access requirements.
Principal Elements included:
Insitu Concrete Road Pavings 680m3
Precast Concrete Diaphragm Retaining Wall Units 275m
Below-Ground Attenuation Storage Tank 100m3
13m long Modular Staff Facility 1 no.
