This ECC contract was for high quality streetscaping and general environmental improvements to the town of Lanark. Existing pavements were removed and replaced with granite slabbing and setted lay-bys. The existing central reserve was removed and replaced with new granite kerbs and slabs, with some soft landscaping, and new streetlighting and PA system installed.

Granite Paving 4000m2
Granite Kerbs 1500 linear metres
Granite Bollards 50 no.
Streetlighting Columns 20 no.
Ducting 4000 linear metres

 

Key Issues:

  • Monthly interface with local community groups
  • Good relations with both the public and local businesses maintained throughout the duration of the contract
  • Managed and constructed in accordance with an agreed partnering philosophy (outlined in the bespoke Partnering Charter which was signed by all parties involved)
  • Works managed and implemented with strict adherence to specified dates/events typical of town life (e.g. Lanimer Week).
