The contract was for the complete refurbishment of the streetscape within Port Street (between King Street/Murray Place and Dumbarton Road/Upper Craigs Junctions). The existing road construction was excavated and replaced with new concrete sub-grade. All existing surfaces were uplifted and relaid with new high quality paving materials. All street furniture was replaced with new quality items comprising granite and stainless steel. Existing building-mounted streetlighting remained and were supplemented by new low-level decorative lighting.
