This lane rental contract involved the widening and signalisation of the existing A77 Whitletts Roundabout, to ease congestion at one of the busiest intersections in Scotland (used by over 30,000 vehicles each day). Completed in September 2006, the works were located adjacent to live traffic on a busy trunk road interchange requiring comprehensive traffice management measures. Extensive utility diversions were required and the earthworks element of the contract was contractor designed.

Principal Elements included:

Earthworks 24,000m3 / Surfacing - 58,000m2
Drainage 4,400m / Service Ducts 6,000m
