The works were for a 3- turbine extension to an existing 12- turbine wind farm site in North Ayrshire, with RJ McLeod as the Balance of Plant Contractor. Construction of wind turbine reinforced concrete foundations and associated crane hardstandings, the construction of new access roads utilising on site borrow pits, the extension of an existing operational control building and 1,500m of cable trenches excavated, cabled and reinstated. The control building was provided with all electrical infrastructure and equipment required for the performance of the wind farm. Under CDM RJ McLeod acted as Principal Contractor for the duration of the project.
